British Basketball League Regular Season
Established as the Loughborough All-Stars in 1967, the Leicester Riders collected six league titles between 2013-2022 and six BBL Play-offs titles, between 2001-2022, during their storied history.
The Rob Paternostro-led club, which settled in the Leicester area in 19971, have also won three BBL Cup titles and three BBL Trophy and, in recent years, have built a fierce rivalry with the London Lions.
On September 2022, the Riders were knocked out of the Basketball Champions League qualification rounds by Voluntari, 70-61.
London beat the Riders 79-71 in the 2023 BBL Cup Final earlier this year and then followed that triumph with a 102-77 blowout victory on the road at Leicester on Friday, 3rd March 2023.
The London Lions are currently leading 3-0 in their regular season series vs the Riders. London will now seek to complete the 4-game regular season sweep of the Leicester Riders with a win at the Copper Box.
