3rd Quarter Charge Leads London Lions to Second Straight EuroCup Women’s Victory. “Kiki” Herbert-Harrigan Led with 29 Points & 8 Rebounds Whilst Shooting 60% from Long Range.
Our hometown heroes, the LondonLions, overcame a poor rebounding first half to claim their second straight EuroCup victory against Dinamo Banco di Sardegna, winning 63-73.
Mikiah “Kiki” Herbert-Harrigan led the Londoners to a 2-1 record, shooting 64.71% from the field, including six3-pointers to record a game-high 29 points. The sharp-shooting forward also grabbed 8 rebounds along with 2 assists, including a sweet fast-break touch pass to Ty Battle late in the fourth that helped seal the game.
That said, “Kiki” was not alone, as Holly Winterburn, with the help of her nifty footwork and killer crossovers, put up 15 points along with 8 assists and 2 steals to contribute to the victory.
Fearless Two-way forward Ty Battle hit 55.56% (5/9) of her shots in the paint, to the tune of 10 points, whilst grabbing 4 rebounds and 3steals. Battle’s thievery was assisted by Taylor Murray, who collected a game-high4 steals during the game.
The ever-reliable Katsiaryna Snytsina contributed 10 points, shooting 4/9 from the field and a momentum-simmering block on Dinamo’s ElinGustavsson in the first quarter.
