London Lions Overpower Essex Rebels 44-106 in One-SidedVictory. 45 Bench Mob Points & 11 Season High Points from Azania Stewart Helps the Lions Achieve Second Straight 100 Point Score.

The Lions travelled 60 miles east and dominated the EssexRebels 44-106 on their home court in Colchester. The one-sided overwhelming win was achieved through 45 bench points, a season-high 11 points from Azania Stewart and another near-double-double performance from Holly Winterburn.

Katsiaryna Snytsina led London's charge with 15 points, which she complimented with three rebounds, three assists and three huge blocks. The legendary long-range sniper gathered her points total, sinking six of her 12 shots from the floor, three of which were from beyond the three-point line.

Center, Azania Stewart had a flawless performance connecting on all four of her buckets from in the paint and all three free throw shots en route to a season-high 11 points. Never the one-dimensional player, Stewart also grabbed four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Guards Taylor Murray and Holly Winterburn combined for ten steals, grabbing five each, leading the Lions' suffocating lockdown defence on offensive sets. Winterburn mixed her dual game-leading steals with 14 points, eight assists and five rebounds. Murray connected on 80% of her shots from the field on her way to 8 points, along with six assists.

2-way forward “Kiki” Herbert Harrigan contributed another stellar performance to London’s efforts. The proud Anguilla native commandeered the paint and the mid-range and sunk a shot from long-distance to achieve 13 points which she complimented with five rebounds.

The bench mob went to town in Colchester, combining for 45 points, including 14 assists, 25 rebounds and eight steals. Shequila Joseph and Paulina Hersler led this foray with 12 points apiece.

Joseph continued her great domestic long-range shooting form hitting three 3-pointers which she mixed with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Hersler combined her points production with eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Helping the Lions with their second chance opportunities was forward Ty Battle, who grabbed a game-leading four offensive boards. Battle combined her seven rebounds with ten points, three assists, and one steal. Center, PaigeRobinson achieved a season-high points total with nine points to go with two rebounds, one steal and one block.
