The London Lions defended home court against the Surrey Scorchers to stay perfect in all competitions.
After a grueling four games in seven days, which included trips to Riga and Sheffield, the Lions completed the week by picking up their 13th straight victory.
With a huge game against EuroCup rivals Paris awaiting on Tuesday, Coach Bozić took the opportunity to test the depths of his talented roster against a Surrey side who had just one win from their opening six games.
Bradley Kaboza relished the opportunity, scoring 15 points in just 22-minutes of action.
The home side were welcomed by their biggest and loudest crowd of the season, who cheered their team on to a five-point lead by the end of the first quarter. Sam Dekker, Mo Soluade and Donte Grantham all contributed with three big three-pointers towards the end of the quarter.
Rolling on into the second, London played aggressively and picked up valuable points both in the paint and at the free-throw line. The Lions fought hard and took a nine-point lead into the half-time break.
Last season’s MVP Sam Dekker began the third quarter with a steal and easy dunk which set the tempo for his team straight out of the break. Although Surrey scored just four points in the opening five minutes of the half, the Scorchers found form to keep the game within reach heading into the final 10 minutes.
Despite the visitors’ best efforts, London’s 12-point lead proved to be enough as they saw the game out to pick up their yet another victory in this season’s campaign. The Lions will now look ahead to a highly anticipated game against Paris at the Copper Box on Tuesday night.
