London Lions Dominate Division One Titans Worthing Thunder 89-53 in One-Sided Victory. A 17-Point, 9-Rebound Performance from Bradley Kaboza Helps to Secure Spot in Trophy Quarter Finals.

London booked their ticket to the BBL Trophy quarter-finals with a one-sided 89-53 win over top Division One outfit Worthing Thunder.

Aaron Best led the scoring production for coach Ryan Schmidt’s seven-man rotation with 24 points, which he gained by connecting on 7 of 14 of his shots from the field, including four long-range shots from beyond the 3-point line. The shifty two-guard complemented his scoring output with three rebounds, three steals and four assists.

The title of ‘The Best Rebounding Guard in the League’ remained with Josh Ward-Hibbert as he grabbed double-digit boards en route to a 12-point and 13-rebound double-double. Ugandan national player Jonathan Komagum claimed a BBL career-high of 13 rebounds with 7 points and three assists.

Sophomore guard Bradley Kaboza recorded season-highs of 21 points and nine rebounds to help the Londoners defeat the Sussex-based team. Kaboza also dished out three assists to help orchestrate the Lions’ offence and grabbed three steals to help lockdown Worthing offence.

Rookie guard Zamoku Weluche, who stole the show with an earth-shattering poster dunk on Worthing’s Ronald Blain, helped himself to 11 points, five rebounds and a career-high of 6 blocks.
