The London Lions travelled north of the border to a sell-outEmirates Arena and ended Caledonia’s unbeaten home record with a suffocating 60-84victory. London’s bench mob combined for 37 of the team's 84 points and 9 of theLions’ 13 steals.
Canadian national player Aaron Best came off the bench and produced a stellar 15-point, 3-steal and 1-rebound display. The crafty 2-guard connected on 71% of his shots from the field, including all 3 of his shots in the paint,2 of 4 shots from long range and 3 of 4 shots from the charity stripe.
Josh Sharma backed up his bench mob brethren, just missing out on a double-double with 9 points and 10 rebounds alongside 2 steals and 2blocks. In just under 16 minutes on the floor, Sophomore guard Bradley Kaboza put up 7 points, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist.
The BBL’s December Player of the Month, Kosta Koufos, contributed 12 points, 3 rebounds and an impressive regular season-high of 4 blocks. The skilled 7-footer was almost unstoppable in the low block, sinking 6 of 9 of his shots in the paints, shooting 66% from the floor.
Combo-guard extraordinaire Luke Nelson connected on 57% of his shots from the field en route to 10 points, to go with 6 assists, 1 rebound and 1 steal. Sam Dekker complimented his 12 points with 4 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist.
