Kennedy Leonard added another double-double to her already impressive tally as London Lions extended their unbeaten run to 41 WBBL games with a 74-58 victory at Leicester Riders, on Saturday.
Riders were the last team to beat Mark Clark's side in a domestic game when they won 84-80 back in April 2021, but Kennedy's 11 points and 12 assists helped the visitors avenge that defeat.
Mikiah Herbert-Harrigan led the visitors with 13 points and five rebounds, while captain Shanice Beckford-Norton and veteran centre Azania Stewart each added ten points apiece.
Riders' Ashley Arden led all scorers with 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Oliana Squires finished with 17 points.
A tight opening quarter saw Herbert-Harrigan tie the game at 13 after six minutes before four Beckford-Norton points helped the visitors go into the first break 21-17 ahead.
Paulina Hersler and Leonard kept the visitors ahead early in the second period, and it was Leonard who took Lions' lead into double figures midway through the quarter before Stewart sent them into the half-time break 35-25 ahead.
It took 220 third period seconds for Ty Battle to add to Lions' total but Clark's side never looked in danger as Leonard's pair of free-throws followed by her bucket from the Land of Plenty made it 44-30 with three minutes left in the quarter.
Stewart hit a pair at the line and Battle added to her tally before Stewart again punished the hosts at the charity stripe to give Lions a 51-33 lead at the final break.
Chantel Charles took the lead out to 20 with just under eight minutes on the clock and the visitors never looked in trouble during the fourth period before Paige Robinson wrapped up the win with a three-point play.
