Shanice Beckford-Norton and Shequila Joseph were part of the England 3x3 team who shocked a number one ranked germany to collect the bronze medal at the Belgrade Tournament last weekend.
The two Lions formed part of the six-player squad who used the tournament as part of their Commonwealth Games preparation, and they were joined by Abby Lowe and Hannah Jump as they beat the Germans 18-15 to take third spot.
England also beat the Germans 19-18 in a thriller during Saturday's group stage and had a narrow 13-12 victory against Mongolia to reach the quarter-finals.
The last eight game against Hungary saw England's most comfortable win of the tournament, 16-8, but there was disappointment in the semi-final as Poland edged home 18-15 before England bounced back to take the bronze with a win against Germany.
The previous weekend had seen Lions' captain Beckford-Norton play for GB as they went agonisingly close to qualifying for the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup finals before losing to top-seeded Poland.
Beckford-Norton was pleased with how the England team played: "It was good, and I think we played well. We didn't have a lot of preparation and not as much time as we'd have liked against some of the best team in the world. But we did well and learned something from each game.
"This all builds up to the Commonwealth Games and we're looking a medal. And I fancy a gold one!"
The hectic schedule for Beckford-Norton and her team-mates continues with a trip to France on Thursday where they will practice before playing in the Big 12 competition on Friday and Saturday.
