The London Lions are excited to announce the signing of 24-year-old Serbian guard, Ivana Katanic, for the upcoming 2023/24 season. Standing at 5 feet 9 inches, Katanic brings a dynamic presence to the team and is poised to make a significant impact on the court.
During the 2021/22 season, she joined Belgium’s Eurocup team, Kangoeroes Basket. Averaging 13.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in European competition. In the subsequent 2022/23 season, Ivana Katanic continued her journey by joining Hungarian Eurocup side NKA Universitas PEAC.
Katanic has been with the Serbian national team across various age groups. She has admirably represented Serbia in U16, U18, and U20 categories and in 2022 she suited up for the first time for the senior national team in the World Cup qualifying games. Notably, Katanic represented her national team this summer at the 2023 EuroBasket held in Slovenia, where Serbia finished 5th.
