Spencer’s return sees more high-calibre local talent confirmed for the men’s 2021-22 roster

Jordan Spencer is confirmed to be returning to the London Lions for a fourth season, bringing some more high-calibre local talent to the men’s 2021-22 roster.

Born in London, the 6-foot-2 point guard first played for the Lions as a junior when he was just 11 years old, before graduating to the men’s team for the 2012-13 season at the age of 18.

Spencer went on to take home the NCAA DIV II title with the Augustana University Vikings in 2016, after which he returned to the Lions for the 2018-19 season and again in 2020-21, when the Lions made history by claiming the BBL Championship title for the first time.

The 26-year-old joins Jordan Williams as the other standout London-born talent to be confirmed thus far for the coming season.

Vince Macaulay, Head Coach of the London Lions discusses Spencer’s return: “It’s fantastic to have Jordan continue his time here with the Lions for another season. This will be his fourth season with the team, and he was part of our amazing lineup that took out the BBL Championship title for the first time in 2019. He always brings some dynamic play to the table – we’re excited he’s sticking around.”
