London Lions' February 2023 Half-Term Basketball Camps
London Nautical School & Lets Get Active
The London Lions Basketball club prides itself on serving and being a part of the community. From February 13th-15th the London Lions held two sets of basketball clinics for young basketball enthusiasts aged 5-16 years old.
London Lions and London Nautical School joined forces to host a 2-day Basketball clinic for Year 11 and Year 12 male and female students, on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th February.

Lions coaches taught an array of basketball fundamentals such as:
- 2 Player Fundamentals – Passing, Receiving and Footwork
- Offensive Fundamentals – Passing, Dribbling, Shooting, 2 Hand Shooting from a Hop and Finishing (I.e Decision Making Finishing).
Throughout the clinic, sessions were delivered based on the values of teamwork, leadership, fairness, perseverance and respect.

On Wednesday 15th February, London Lions and 'Let's Get Active' partnered to organise a basketball clinic, attended by London Lions' star rookie Jonathan Kumagum, for aspiring basketball players aged between 5 and 11 years.
The young ballers were taught several basketball fundamentals including:
- Shooting
- Layups
- Ball handling and Dribbling
- Passing
- Footwork
