The London Lions are thrilled to announce the signing of Gabriel Olaseni, marking his return home to UK to compete for the first time in the British Basketball League.
The 6' 11" Center has marquee experience playing abroad in Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and most recently Turkey with Darüşşafaka Basketbol.
Last season with Darüşşafaka, Olaseni averaged 12.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 52% from the floor, while compiling 14.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in the Basketball Champions League.
His performances have also earned him a prominent role within the GB squad, as a member since 2015. During the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers against Belgium and Serbia, Olaseni posted averages of 12.6 points per game, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists.
