Lions host Manchester Mystics at the Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

“Manchester are a difficult team to play against, they’ve beaten some good teams and on other occasions they’ve fallen short of what they’re capable of” he said.
“Any team coached by Jeff Jones will be a challenge and with both teams also playing on Saturday a lot will depend on how they come out of those game. With the depth of roster we have we should be able to perform at the level we expect and set up a semi-final against Nottingham who are scoring points for fun. It will be good for Shaquilla [Joseph] to get another game as we move forward because she’s going to be an important player for us.”

Lions go into the game on the back of a 110-56 victory at Oaklands Wolves on Saturday and have a perfect 16-0 record in domestic competition while Mystics’ 70-49 victory at Cardiff Met Archers saw them move up to fifth in the WBBL table with a 7-6 record.

Mystics are led by Great Britain guard Georgia Jones who averages 12.7 points and 6.1 assists, adding 4.5 rebounds per game. While Dominique Allen pulls down a team-high 9.6 boards to go with her 9.9 points per game.
