British Center, Maya Price will be joining the London Lions for the 2023/24 season.
The London Lions are proud to announce the signing of Maya Price, a prominent British center, to their roster. Hailing from Suffolk, Maya played junior basketball with Ipswich Basketball Club and Copleston High School in the WEABL.
A former junior GB international, Maya represented her country at both U18 and U20s. Maya spent a season with the Newcastle Eagles in the WBBL before moving stateside to NCAA Division 2 side, Eckerd College.
During her time at Eckerd College, Maya’s performances earned her numerous accolades, including being named to the All-Sunshine State Conference First Team for both the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons. Maya was recognized as the 2022 SSC (Sunshine State Conference) Player of the Year, showcasing her dominance and impact on the game. Finishing the 2022 regular season with averages of 14.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game.
Speaking about the new signing, Vanja said -
"It's great to have another young homegrown talent return to the UK. Maya asserted herself at the US collegiate level, and we're excited to watch her continue to develop with us."
