London Lions women will be looking to lift the first piece of silverware of the 2021/22 when they face Newcastle Eagles at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham on Sunday January 30.
The stage is set for an exciting day of British basketball as the finalists for the women’s and men’s British Basketball Cup Finals take place. Eagles and Lions meet in a re-run of last season’s play-off final, which was won by Mark Clark's London side. Lions who are in Newcastle and will be looking to clinch the first silverware of the season against a London team who are unbeaten domestically and have shone in European competition.
The men’s final pits Manchester Giants against Leicester Riders. Manchester, led by Great Britain star Dan Clark, are looking for their first piece of BBL silverware while Leicester, starring last season’s MVP Geno Crandall, will look to add to their trophy collection.
