Sunday's WBBL Trophy final at Emirates Arena, Glasgow, sees the top two British sides in women's basket go head-to-head as London Lions and Sevenoaks Suns look to lift the silverware.
So it's no surprise to see that both Lions and Suns are among the league leaders in the league statistics.
Lions have a put an offensive display in many of their games and they comfortably lead the WBBL in scoring with an impressive 97 points per game, while Suns' 75.6ppg sees them sit fifth in the scoring table.
Much of Lions' success has come from outside the three-point arc as they lead the league in both shots made (9.2) and efficiency with 26.4 percent of their shots from downtown going in. Suns are in a pack of clubs averaging around seven three-pointers per game, draining 7.1 despite converting only 21 percent of their long-range shots.
There are contrasting stats for the two teams when it comes to rebounding. Lions have dominated on the offensive boards, leading the league with 16.4 offensive boards but are fifth with 27.9 defensive rebounds per game Meanwhile Suns top the defensive charts with 32.7 rebounds off opponents' misses but are six offensive with 10.9 per game. Over all, Lions' 43.7 boards per game lead the league with Suns' 43.6rpg seeing them just behind in third place.
Lions lead the league in assists with 27.5 per game while Suns are second with 22.1 per game. Both teams look after the ball well, with Lions having a league low 11.6 turnovers and Suns second with 12.8.
Individually, Cassie Breen's three point shooting sees her lead the league with 48 triples at an average of 3.42 per game with a 43.2 percentage from downtown. Her 17.9 point per game help her sit third in the WBBL scoring table. Suns' Renee Busch has also enjoyed success from the Land of Plenty , scoring 40 this season at an average of 2.9 per game, scoring 48.8 of her attempts to sit second in the stats table.
Lions' Kennedy Leonard has continued where she left off last season to lead the league with 9.6 assists per game while Holly Winterburn dishes out 5.2 per game to sit seventh in the league,
While Lions boast the best field goal percentage in the competition, it's something of a surprise to find they have three of the most efficient shooters in the league, led by Steph Umeh on 64.8 percent. Azania Stewart converts 61.9 percent of her shots to sit just behind Umeh while Jo Leedham is fourth with 56.4 percent of her attempts dropping through the hoop.
Suns' former WBBL MVP Cat Carr is fourth in defensive rebounding with 8.4 boards sixth in total rebounding with 9.5 per game. The American adds a team-high 14.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game.
Umeh is second offensive rebounding with 4.4 boards oof her team's misses while Lions' impressive defensive intensity is shown with Winterburn grabbing 3.4 steals per game to sit second in the table. Leonard's 3.2 steals places her third while is sixth with 2.8 per game.
Other Lions players to look for:
Leedham brings 15.5 points 7.2 rebounds per game, while captain Shanice Beckford-Norton comes off the the league's most productive bench to bring 13.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists. Leonard adds 12.6 points and 4.2 boards for a Lions team that has seven players averaging double-digit scoring nights.
